Help Others To Stop Domestic Violence With Bell-Bajao-Compaign

"Bell Bajao" (Ring the Bell) urges men to take a stand against domestic violence. One out of every three women faces violence behind closed doors, so whether it's ringing a door bell to stop a crime, or speaking out, make sure you're doing your part to ensure women and families in your community are living free of violence. It's about time we stop being silent witnesses.

You are the voice of Bell Bajao!

Bell Bajao is an awareness and intervention campaign against domestic violence. It uses media, education and pop culture to reach out and cause change in the zeitgeist.

How can you make a difference?

Your speaking out against domestic violence will give a voice to one out of every three women who face domestic violence behind closed doors. World over, domestic violence is a serious concern. It's not just happening to the woman who's beaten by her husband; it's also happening to the girl whose brother curses her and calls her names, and the elderly lady whose son won't give her money because, "she doesn't need it". Only men and women acting together can make a difference.

The campaign

Bell Bajao campaign launched on August 20, 2008. This is a 360 degree media campaign with TV and radio spots, print ads, mobile video vans and an online campaign. It was released in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It has been created pro bono by Ogilvy & Mather. Zenobia Pithawalla, Sr Creative Director, O&M, spearheaded the campaign. The two TV spots have been directed by Bauddhayan Mukherji of Little Lamb Films. All the images on the website have been given by Devansh Jhaveri and Abhigya Shulka.

Top of the list of ‘ok-I’ll-tell-you-what-all-this-is-about’ is … YOU!

It’s time to remove those earplugs. The campaign asks you to take a stand. Kill the “it’s not my business” mentality. Tell your Mom. Tell your friends. And more importantly, speak out and tell all to the World Wide Web. We'll provide you the platform, the equipment — the works.

Even in cases where women is beating Husband, shall we still ring the bell? Only worry is she may put my name either in 498a case or DV act as these laws don't need any investigation and don't care real facts.

For you, when you see a moti Wife hit a Thin Husband with belan in movies, you laugh at it??? Dont you?? Thaz not a domestic violence for you?? Will you BEll Bajao for the fact that 50% of the Domestic violence in a married couple is initiated by Wives??? Did you not hear of Mrs.Rajni Narayan of Australia, who burnt the Willy of her husband. and very innocently said, she "just wanted to burn his willy" . Did not expect this to go so bad. Are you doing something about these as well??? The NCW Ministers say that the WOMAN are not MISUSING the DV and 498a, they are JUST ignorant and need awareness... When will you OPEN your eyes ...

Most men do not go public because they fear a FALSE DV and 498a Case on them. Thanks to the Media for encouraging woman to go ahead with these criminal activities

Indian laws are already biased and abusive towards men. Indian Innocent Men and his family members are being harrassed in the name of these biased laws. Why is some one not talking about the misuse and abuse and advers affetcs these laws (498a and D.V. laws) are doing to Indian society and marriage system.

All Men should start a separate Fight against the injustice done to us by the smear campaign done by Draconian Women Laws of 498-A & D.V Act.We as a citizen are wondering where are we headed? Do the women like Renuka Chowdhary & Girija Vyas rule our country? These women don't know what marital life is.The former drove away her husband by false 498-A & latter one is a spinster. We should start a campaign of Ghanta Bajaao & fight them.
